The grocery stores have lengthwise sliced bread. Wonderful for multiple sandwiches.
Salmon is snack food cheap.
Snickers bars are not.
Neither are Strawberries.
Find big grocery stores. They serve FREE hotdogs out front on the weekends.
They have a gambling wheel for coupons and free items as you enter. There was a LONG line.
So does our favorite bar. 1500 kr gets you a spin. This can be very detrimental to your sobriety and language skills.
Prices are outrageous. Find any deal you can. There are many if you ask around and discount cards abound.
I have yet to see Reykjavik at dust. This is because there isn't one. It is brightest at 9pm.
Salvation Army Hostel has very strict rules.
Reykjavik Backpacking Hostel does not.
Traffic does NOT yield to tourists.
The pavement here is porous. This would save DC's drainage issues.
The people here are amazingly technologically creative and the world would be a much better place to live if they would take notice and follow their lead.
People here seem to be amazingly happy for what they have had to endure.
Whale meat is dense, lean and delicious. The Fish Market is the place to get it.
The water and the air are the same. Perfect.
